Rolling Stone magazine rates Jerry Miller in the top 100 guitar players of our time.
On Sat. March 9, Miller will take the stage at the Key Peninsula Civic Center with his Jerry Miller band to raise operating funds for the center.
Miller started his career in the Pacific Northwest and toured the South with The Bobby Fuller Four.
In the 60s, he moved to San Francisco to play with Moby Grape, a three-guitar powerhouse band. Grape signed with Columbia Records and recorded half a dozen albums, toured the U.S. and Europe before disbanding.
Miller has shared the stage with Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Carlos Santana and The Doors.
Those recognizable names were opening acts for Miller, who is known for some of the most complex blues/rock and roll guitar riffs imaginable.
